Sam "Fretters" Fretwell is the main heartbeat behind Löser's stage presence. “Fretters” is the only one on stage unable to play a stringed instrument whose surname gives him a nickname that sounds like it should be a guitar player's moniker.

Sam “Fretters” Fretwell is a dynamic drummer hailing from Carlisle, Cumbria, with roots in London. At just 20 years old, this fresh blood rocker is passionately inspired by the music, attitude and style of Motörhead. Löser is fortunate to have such a talented young man who is dedicated to performing and evolving alongside his bandmates. Their relentless touring, rehearsing, and recording sessions ensure they continuously improve and tighten up as a cohesive act.
Fretters is the drummer and co-songwriter in Bay of Pigs together with Sam "Thorburn" Spedding.
