Custom Yin/Yang Bass Builds: A Tribute, Not a Copy!

Every now and then, something turns up that’s more than just gear.
These two custom bass guitars were built as a tribute to one of the most recognisable instruments in rock history but with a clear intention from the start: not to copy, but to reinterpret.
Instead of going for a straight replica, we leaned into a yin/yang concept — two complementary finishes that make it obvious these are inspired pieces with their own identity.
Finishing touches completed by UK luthier Jon Shuker, the video captures one of the final steps in the process as the strap locks are installed and the instruments near completion.
These basses are part of a bigger philosophy for us as a band where everything we do is rooted in Motörhead inspiration, but always with our own stamp on it.
From tone to visuals, it’s about respecting the influence while still creating something new.
