There’s something different about a hometown show.

On May 9, 2024, Löser took to the stage at The Source Collective in Carlisle for the first time in front of a home crowd delivering a loud, fast, and unapologetic set inspired by Motörhead. The "Eighth of May" is "Motörhead day" and this was the closest we could get to the date as The Source is closed on a Wednesday.

One of the standout moments of the night was “Please Don’t Touch”, the classic collaboration between Motörhead and Girlschool. It’s a track that perfectly captures the raw crossover between heavy rock and punk energy and it hit hard live. On special guest vocals for this song and others on the night we had The Source Collective's manager and amazing performer Poppy Jean Rowan belting out her vocal lines.

But this night wasn’t just about the music.

The event was a fundraiser for Wreck Studio Services, a key part of the local scene that provides rehearsal and recording space for bands across Carlisle. Supporting spaces like this is what keeps grassroots music alive.

With local acts Someone Else’s Radio and Before The Gods opening the night, it was a proper community-driven event — bands supporting bands, and a crowd that showed up to make it count.

More than just a gig

This wasn’t just another show — it was a marker.

A first hometown performance.

A packed room.

.A reminder that the local scene is very much alive in Carlisle.

For Löser, it’s only the beginning.
