New Bass Day – Custom Yin/Yang “Fakenbastard” Builds

There’s “new gear”… and then there’s this. Two custom bass guitars, inspired by one of the most iconic designs in rock history, but built with a clear intention: not to copy, but to reinterpret.
We leaned into a yin/yang concept for the finish, making the pair feel connected while still standing apart as their own instruments.
Built by UK luthier Jon Shuker, this video captures the final steps as these basses come to life.
For us, it’s all part of a bigger philosophy… everything we do is rooted in Motörhead influence, but always with our own spin on it.
From visuals to tone, it’s about taking inspiration and pushing it somewhere personal.
Safe to say… we’re pretty happy with how these turned out.
